This project was conceived almost 4 years ago. It started off as a kernel of an idea pitched to me by my dear friend Nelson. Inspired by the initial concept I disappeared into the dark recesses of my brain and came out the other end with a story that has some simple ideas (good vs evil) and some themes dear to those closest to the project (doing the right thing, finding inner strength, the idology of being a hero and finding the hero within).
Once we had the story we enlisted another dear friend to both of us, Willy, to help bring it to life through storyboards. Over that summer, Willy drew each and every scene of the movie. It was something magical to flip through and inspired the three of us to do whatever it took to get this thing made and out into the world.
Through favours and friends (typical recipe for guerilla filmmaking) we gathered together folks from different backgrounds, with different skill sets who were all interested in helping tell this story. With the team formed, in a quasi-communist filmmaking style we ventured off into the unknown with only a script, a storyboard and the love of making and telling stories and began prinicipal production on a little movie called: Lullabye.
